What is a plant-based diet?

According to Forks Over Knives, a plant-based diet is built on a foundation of “fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes; and it excludes or minimizes meat (including chicken and fish), dairy products, and eggs, as well as highly refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil.”
The benefits of a plant-based diet are unlimited! Eating a diet rich in plants is one amazing way to prevent many chronic illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Studies have also shown that people who eat a diet that consists primarily of plants typically weigh less than their meat eating counterparts.
Not only do the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle show through our health, but a plant-based lifestyle is also the most environmentally sustainable choice.

Is health insurance accepted?

At this time, health insurance is not accepted. However, a superbill can be provided. Cash, credit and debit cards are all accepted.

What is a Registered Dietitian?

A Registered Dietitian is a nutrition expert that has gone through a rigorous education program including a college degree and accredited internship. Visit the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics website to find out more.

Where are appointments located?

Consultations are available in person, via phone, Skype, or a combination of these.
